The day the French painted the Irish blue and I painted the springboks green

Well it looks like Rugby fever is finally coming to an end for the Irish at least but not without one big last night on the town. If it was up to the supporters yesterday Ireland would have won instead of the steam rollering they received from 'les bleus'. We all came to the pub in full force armed with a tub of green face paint and wearing bright green t-shirts (thanks a million for the t-shirt Mrs. Noone). After the matches we noticed (well they were hard to miss) some HUGE big fellas making their way through the bar. We acquainted ourselves with the South African Rugby team by painting shamrocks on their faces while surrounded by the paparazzi of backpackers with their digital camera phone thingys. The Springboks (or at least six of them) were delighted to be brought out on the town by myself, Liz, Hash and Janette, we did get some astonished looks when we entered 'The World bar' in Kings Cross followed by our new friends. It was like being part of a joke, "Two Irish, two English and six South African Rugby players walk into a bar..."
It was a strange and funny night!
