Well it's the end of another road and the close of this long chapter for the 'snow pea' or 'blues Hag' or Ozobel as she has become known in this huge country of Australia. Saying good bye was as ever heart wrenching but this time I know for sure it´s not for good but only 'Adieu' or 'Talk tcha later'. It's been so real, like a real life rather than a holiday, I never felt like a passer through, always like one of the family, one of the locals a part of the crowd and one of the 'team'.

MJ puts all I have to say much more eloquently than I ever could in her comment, and for the benefit of those who don't read comments here it is again......

Ode to Isobelle

Leon and Carlos have been taken away,
Making today the saddest of days
Seeing her backpack laid on the floor
It wouldn’t be long before she walked to the door
Time wouldn’t stop, it kept flying by
Bringing it closer, the impending goodbye,
Little memories, kept, to dance in my head
Nothing left now but an unkempt bed
Tears welling up, blurring my eyes
Don’t go my snow pea, don’t say goodbye
The button goes red I hear the lift clang
The door sweeps closed, a muffled bang
Strums of the blues ring in my ear
I cherish the time that we spent here
The party’s postponed, but just for a while
Soon we’ll go back and conquer our isle
Till then my chika, keep your chin in the air
Look after the talent, keep flowers in hair
See you old blues hag, don’t eat too much
Till we’re in Dublin…………but there’s no rush :)

In response to various enquiries about why I havn’t updated this thing in so long I’ve been too busy in the Flash monkey business to have time to blog.  Now I get a few moments to catch up on things but as most of my time has been spent at work I don’t have too much to report.  I’ve been back working with the crew in Kent st. for the past few weeks and it’s been a veritable hive of busy little bee’s here, all late nights and tight deadlines and stressed out web developers, but still the friendly atmosphere and a well stocked pantry I remember from my time here before Christmas.
I have been making the most of the Sydney weekends, how great it is to have blue skies and sunshine in the middle of winter, it always inspires one with enthusiasm to do more .  I’ve been enjoying such classic aussie activities as lawn-bowling, watching AFL in the Sydney cricket ground, browsing through the Paddington and glebe markets, Pubbing and clubbing on Oxford street and gate-crashing rockstars partys to mention but a few.
