I've added a link to 'tab robot' at the side of the page, I thought it would be good for anyone wishing to follow in my 'blues hag' footsteps and take up guitar. What tune should I learn next? I need more musical direction, my flat-mate is trying to turn me into a gay icon, getting me to learn Madonna songs and the like. This just can't go on, I'll never have any credibility as a 'blues hag' if I have a sordid musical past as a 'fag hag'.

Well Idol minds make lengthy blogs and with little else to write about I'll use the age old expression "A picture tells a thousand words" or in this case sixty two thousand.
Enjoy!

Some of you may have noticed that I've sent more e-mails over the past 2 or 3 weeks than I have in the whole year previous to that and I suppose that sort of sums up the life of a receptionist. I'm not a real receptionist, I'm just pretending, but nobody seems to have noticed that. I spent almost 2 weeks breakfast temping and got a different job almost every day, I feel like I've worked on reception in every office in sydney and I have to say that even though the quality of biscuits and the decor vary hugely between these places I still can't see many other differences. It's all office life whatever way the biscuits are served and it'll never be like 'the great barrier reef'.
I'm working on the switch of a busy Charity in Sydney's Western suburbs for the next 2 weeks. The building reminds me of school, just the same as the old St. Thomas's building, complete with the convent smell and the dusty religious statues. I even passed one of the standard issue 'institutional building' style display cabinets holding pictures of people long dead and names long forgotten, like the ones in 'dead Poets society' or in the long dark corridores of every convent school. The Switch board is like one of those you see in 1960's movies, an 'old skool' design classic, I'll have to take a photo of it, probably best in black and white.
I've been living in Claire and Maura's old apartment in the Hip and trendy part of town Surry Hills, it's a perfect locale with all the best ethnic restaurants in Sydney just a stones throw from my doorstep. Of course I can't afford to actually eat in any of them but the smells are enough to inspire me into some exotic experimentation in the kitchen.
I've been having a nice time over the past few weeks catching up with everyone who's still in Sydney. The weather is pretty cold, I'm sure it's not as cold as back home but I've forgotten what 'cold' feels like.
