Only 3 days till christmas and the sun is splitting the stones! It's as unlike christmas as you can imagine, which is probably a good thing for fending off the home-sickness. It's total beach weather all the time here in Sydney, and as I finish work on Christmas eve, thats where I'll be until new year, then I'll be off away on my travels again and hopefully the blog will start to become interesting again. Happy Christmas to you all, I hope that Santa brings you all you wished for. I'll be raising a glass of something cold and alcoholic to all my absent friends and loved ones this Christmas on Bondi Beach.

Well it’s been a while again since I’ve updated, There seems to be a fear creeping in that post are becoming more sparse and life has become as dull as a cool grey pantone, alas this is happily not the case.
I’ve started a new job as a Flash Developer (sound familiar anyone?), back in the old E-learning game again. I’m still in the downtown area, it’s not the 27th floor but it has it’s advantages all the same. The Studio is great, loads of food, comfy couches and a large variety of good cd’s played throughout the day, Not to mention the cappuccino machine and the fact that I arrived just on time for the Christmas party. My new work mates are all really nice. They’re all mad as a brush (in a nice way) and they have some fairly eccentric work practices, such as having a stuffed Gorilla and a ceramic frog at the reception desk instead of a receptionist and they have a ‘laundry hour’ every Friday where everyone airs their dirty laundry.
I’ve just come back from a weekend trip to the Blue Mountains with Julie (SF veteran), Adrian, Aisling and Barak. The weekend marked the official start to the Sydney summer with the temperatures soaring into the 30’s and the sun cream replacing the umbrellas in everybodys handbags. Of course the rain was to return on Monday Morning but it’s all about state of mind, and we were in the summer state of mind this weekend. We headed off on Saturday morning in Aislings ‘bargain of the week’ station wagon and arrived at the mountains before lunch. We stayed in Kutoomba (I’m pretty sure I spelt that wrong) it is close to ‘the three sisters’ trek we did on Saturday afternoon. A large cask of wine in a BYO restaurant on Saturday night helped ease the aches of the walk enough for a second round to the Wentworth falls on Sunday. The photos are hereand as usual there’s a link from My photo page.

I'll get back to preparations for my first ever Mid-summer christmas.
